We’ve come a long way and are excited for what the future holds here at ON1. We want to take this chance to say, thank you. Every feature and improvement we’ve made in the latest release is a result of community input through the ON1 Photo RAW Project. Since the first release of ON1 Photo RAW, we’ve given our community a say in the features and technologies they want in their photo editor of choice. In April we announced the upcoming release of ON1 Photo RAW 2019.5 and today we are excited to announce it is officially available for the ON1 community. For new users, a full version of the application is now priced at $80-down from $100. ON1 Photo Raw 2019.5 is now available for download and the update is free for existing users of the current edition. ON1’s press release also promises support for Canon’s CR3 RAW files is a “high priority” in the next free update. Support for 21 additional cameras and 29 additional lenses has also been included. The new features include a full edit history with the ability to roll-back adjustments, nested keywords inside of other keywords in the master keyword list, and the option of having the edit and browse windows on different screens.
The headline speed increase of up to 50x is for exporting edited images, while more modest speed increases are claimed elsewhere: Exporting an editable file is up to 5x faster, RAW-to-JPG export is up to 2.5x faster, and previewing effects or navigating presets is up to 3x faster. The company says ON1 Photo RAW 2019.5 is as much as 50 times faster than the previous version and includes a host of new features requested by customers. ON1 has announced the availability of a significant update to its RAW photo processing app promised last month.
